What We BelieveWe believe that this is a great time to be a Christian. As Christians we hold to the time-traditional beliefs of the Christian Church down through the ages. Keeping this simple then, we subscribe to the Apostles Creed, for example, and have a strong emphasis on Bible teaching, particularly the New Testament and the teaching of Jesus and His Apostles. We believe that God is the Eternal One - infinite, wise, holy, powerful, unchangeable and ultimately happy. He exists as the One Living and True God in the three persons of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that God sent His only Son, Jesus, into the world. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, as fully God and fully man in one person, He is Spirit-filled humanity as God intended us to be. We believe that the Holy Spirit is also the Spirit of Jesus and indwells every believer in Jesus as an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide, received as a conscious experience, for life and ministry. We believe that the Bible is the only written original source of truth about God, and that it is the authoritative foundation for doctrine and belief. We believe that Grace is God's constant Empowering Presence, enabling and authorising believers to accomplish His will on earth as demonstrated by Jesus. That is… to declare the coming of the Kingdom of Heaven, to preach Good News (it really is!), to promote Grace (God's empowering Presence to give us new life) to announce and declare peace, to make disciples of Jesus, to heal the sick, to set people free (Sozo - saved, healed and delivered), to work in all the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus will return in person to bring about the final defeat of Satan and his works, the resurrection of the dead, and the final restoration of all things. Please note: We are purposely brief with this list. There is much more we can add to this area, and much more comprehensive detail. If you wish to know more, or ask questions, please contact us at the DaySpring Office (02) 9894-8844 |
Who We AreDaySpring Church is a "middle-ground" (a happy mixture of both the evangelical and pentecostal church streams) charismatic church. We love the presence and the work of the Holy Spirit in our community, and we also love being taught from the Bible which is so foundational to us. We love to see people grow in family and community maturity - ie. real people who love to be real about life. We also love seeing the supernatural work of God in lives that are being transformed for good, and in the bodies of those who need healing. We do our best to allow for the Holy Spirit to strongly influence our meetings. Sometimes it is quiet, and sometimes there is joyful exuberance. Come and see… |

GivingJesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus. Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. A believer labours not to accrue personal wealth or possessions, but to steward God's resources well and model Jesus to our brothers, sisters, and community. If you're a Christian outside our region who uses the website regularly and you feel compelled to give above and beyond the primary giving to your local Christian congregation and mission, we appreciate your support. Our work is an effort to serve our Father in all things, and one of the primary ways we serve God is by cheerfully giving God our “firstfruits” (2 Corinthians 9:7, Proverbs 3:9). We call our members to give, not by meeting some obligatory percentage, but gladly sacrificing for the sake of the gospel because Jesus sacrificed for us, and all we have is his. We thank those who have helped us meet these needs and pray DaySpring Church would join in faithful, consistent, godly giving as Scripture instructs. 12 Reasons to Give Sacrificially Giving releases the favour of God upon the giver.(2 Cor 8:1; Proverbs 22:1, 8:35, 12:2, 14:35, 19:12) Giving, in spite of the affliction of poverty, produces great joy and releases supernatural provision. (2 Cor 8:2, Mark 12:41-44, 1 Kings 17:8-16, Luke 4:25-27) Giving beyond one’s ability, without thought of oneself breaks the spirit of poverty. (2 Cor 8:3, 2 Samuel 24:24, Matthew 6:24) Giving in spite of human restraints or human reasoning overcomes smallness of spirit. (2 Cor 8:4) Giving sacrificially deepens dependence upon God as our only source of provision. (2 Cor 8:5, Philippians 4:19, Psalm 56:19) Giving should be proportionate to one’s spiritual growth in other Christian virtues. (2 Cor 8:7) Giving that completes commitments which started with inspired faith will establish deep conviction for lifetime giving. (2 Cor 8:8-12) Giving is acceptable to God on the basis of the giver’s heart, not the giver’s amount. (2 Cor 8:12, 1 Samuel 16:7) Giving allows the Holy Spirit to minister to our deficiency. (2 Cor 8:13-15) Giving can be snared by delayed obedience brought about by postponement of generosity. (2 Cor 9:1-5; Exodus 22:29-30) Giving is governed by the laws of harvest. (2 Cor 9:6, Proverbs 11:24, Genesis 8:22, Psalm 126:6, Galatians 6:9) Giving with a joyful attitude pleases the heart of God. (2 Cor 9:7, Proverbs 22:9) 2 Corinthians 9:8-9 "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written: ‘‘He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” |
Our MissionOur mission is to partner with Jesus through His Holy Spirit to be a house of significant influence. We joyfully announce that the Kingdom of God is here, and invite people to become faith-filled disciples of Jesus who love each other and who are equipped and deployed to carry the transformational presence of God into all the world. |

Our Speakers Bill Johnson After many visits to Australia (and to DaySpring for 13 years) Bill Johnson is no stranger to Aussies and is held in very high esteem as an apostolic teacher/preacher. We are privileged to have him with us for this conference. Bill is based at Bethel Church, Redding, California. He serves a growing number of churches that have partnered for revival. Quote: "It is abnormal for a Christian not to have an appetite for the impossible. It has been written into our spiritual DNA to hunger for the impossibilities around us to bow at the name of Jesus. The lack of miracles isn’t because it is not in God’s will for us. The problem exists between our ears. As a result, a transformation, a renewing of the mind, is needed, and it’s only possible through a work of the Holy Spirit that typically comes upon desperate people. Stories of the impossible are becoming the norm, and the company of people who have joined this quest for an authentic gospel, the gospel of the Kingdom, is increasing. Loving God and His people is an honor. We will no longer make up excuses for powerlessness because powerlessness is inexcusable. Our mandate is simple: raise up a generation that can openly display the raw power of God." Gary Morgan Gary is the Senior Leader of Hillview Community Church, Rowville, Victoria, Australia. He is a growing prophetic voice and is in demand at many churches in Australia and overseas. For example, a prophetic word about Australia given in 2013.. "And I want to prophesy that it’s time that we come into a season where we are willing to drop to the knee to invite this world into the greatest romance that they will ever experience. That they will know the engagement of God. Salvation is the engagement of God. Because we are coming to a marriage feast. You see, the bridegroom hasn’t come yet. Therefore every salvation is an engagement to a marriage. And when you get that into your heart, when you have the ability to respond with His heart for this world. It’s not about saving them for works. It’s about bringing them into an engagement that is going to join them into the body of Christ. Then will see the greatest move, the greatest love that has ever been established on the face of this earth." We're pleased to Gary with us for this Conference.
