DaySpring Kids

Our Vision
DaySpring Kids desires children to encounter the love of Jesus, be empowered to grow confidently in who Jesus created them to be, and to carry the Holy Spirit with them in a way that impacts the world.

We want kids to experience the presence of God by investing time each week into worship, Gods Word, and practicing the gifts of the Holy Spirit as part of everyday life. Everything we do reinforces Gods heart of love, value, empowering, freedom & honour.

Weekly Program
Our approach on Sundays is to do “Church” with the kids; pray, share testimonies, take an offering, worship, fellowship, teach and activate our learning! In all we do, the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit is the highest value and He always will take priority over program!

9.20  Kids drop off
9.30  Worship
10.15  Teaching/Prayer/Presence

Family Worship

On the first Sunday of every month, we change the curriculum slightly by including the kids in the main auditorium for Worship and Communion. We call it ‘Family Worship’. On these days the Kids program begins at 10.15 (during the break).

Facilities
As well as programmed activities, we also have a number of kids friendly facilities available within the church:

The Nursery
A special room at the back the main auditorium thats dedicated to Parents with very young children (ie. newborns - 18mths). The room is equipped with a change table, nappies and a sound proof window so parents can watch the service in comfort.

The Playroom
Located at the back of the church, this room is for Parents with kids who just love to play. The room is equipped with a range of fun toys, couches and a TV that screens each service live. When using this room, all kids must be accompanied by a parent.

Safety and Security
Keeping children safe is our primary focus. At DaySpring we have planned a smooth, organised and efficient children’s check-in and pick-up process to give parents and guardians a feeling of confidence that their children are safe in the care of competent and diligent people.

DaySpring has your child’s best interest in mind when it comes to safety and security. All of our volunteers are screened and background checked.

Parent Commitments
DaySpring Kids depends on the support of many volunteers to operate week to week. As such, it is a requirement for all parents with children in DaySpring to serve within the ministry at least once per term (ie. four times a year).

Each term, the roster is updated and circulated to all parents. If you attend DaySpring and use DaySpring Kids regularly, please keep a look out for this important communication.
